A terrace.
Sausage and other food.
A terrace.
Crowds.
Old Town Square.
Shores of the Vltava and Prague Castle.
Music on the Charles Bridge.
The Vltava.
Appetizers.
We slept reasonably well at the
Art Nouveau Palace Hotel in Prague.
The beds are good, the bathroom is fine, except for a high entry.
The weather is nice, a little fresh but sunny.
Tom's breathing problems are gone, but Pia has a red rash, which itches a bit.
The breakfast is excellent and lavish.
After breakfast we walk to Wenceslas Square. It is busy, but the traffic is blocked, you can walk well. There are expensive shops and hotels everywhere. In the middle of the square, actually a very wide street, there are stalls selling sausage and other food.
Then we walk through a few shopping streets and passages to the old city.
We notice, and not only now, that there are many pizza and pasta restaurants, and also many
Asian restaurants.
And what surprises us: also many Thai massage salons.
It is busy, especially many tourist groups with a guide.
Just before the Old Town Square with the old town hall we make a sanitary stop and have a
drink on a terrace.
On the Old Town Square with the old town
hall it is very busy, but beautiful.
On this square there are also food stalls, and also with lots of Easter decorations.
Then we find our way to the Vltava river, we just walk with
the crowd.
The road is also well signed.
Of course it is also very busy at this bridge, but we still venture on the bridge.
Het uitzicht op de oevers van de Moldau is erg mooi, en vanaf de brug kan je dat goed zien.
There is also a beautiful view of
Prague Castle.
Portraits are drawn on the bridge itself, bands play, and of course a lot of selfies are
made.
On the other side of the bridge we look around, and then have a drink in a restaurant that
appears to be located in a nice basement.
We walk back over the bridge, which seems a little less crowded, and then we look for the
Jewish
quarter, which seems to be very beautiful.
We don't find the neighborhood, or maybe we don't like it that much.
We walk back to the Old Town Square, because we are hungry.
After looking around a bit, we decide to have a bite to eat, at three o'clock in the
afternoon, at the restaurant where we sat on the terrace this morning, .
It is very busy, how could it be otherwise, but we get a table.
We order grilled pork leg, and it tastes reasonable, even though the skin is not crispy.
The price, CZK 600, is not too bad.
We rest a bit in our hotel.
After an hour or so we go look outside again.
It is striking that there are a lot of people on the street, and that all restaurants are
quite full, apparently not just with tourists.
The shops close at eight o'clock, and then it seems to get a bit quieter on the street.
We go back to the hotel where we eat some snacks in the restaurant.
Tom has had problems breathing again during the evening.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment,
there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood,
the weather and many other factors.
